Integrated Research Collaboration Protocol (VAISR)

VAISR Research Laboratory
Effective Date: December 30, 2025

1. Introduction and Objective

This protocol establishes a transparent, equitable, and adaptive framework for all research collaborations within the VAISR Research Laboratory. Its primary objectives are to ensure:

  • Scientific and industrial quality of all research outputs;
  • Respect for intellectual property and fair recognition of each member’s contributions;
  • Operational efficiency in managing projects in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, and Data Mining.

2. Membership Criteria and Classification

  • Membership is granted based on:
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in the lab’s core domains;
  • Documented academic or industrial experience (publications, projects, grants);
  • Research motivation and proven ability for collaborative teamwork.
  • Final selection requires:
  • A formal recommendation by Laboratory Management, and
  • Approval by the Project Lead.

3. Member Commitments

3.1. Virtual Engagement and Project Management

  • All activities must be conducted virtually via the official project management platform “Mizito”.
  • Mandatory attendance in scheduled online meetings and timely progress updates in Mizito are required.
  • Repeated unexcused absence or inactivity will result in removal from the project.

3.2. Professional Coordination and Conduct

  • The Project Lead holds full technical and operational responsibility for the project.
  • All members must maintain professional coordination, constructive communication, and mutual respect in all interactions—including informal or off-platform discussions.

4. Research Standards and Publication Policy

4.1. Language and Output Quality

  • All research must be conducted and documented in English.
  • Manuscripts must be submitted to Scopus-indexed journals with a minimum ranking of Q3.
  • Use of scientific methodologies, cross-validation, and transparent documentation is mandatory.

4.2. Affiliation and Authorship

  • The VAISR Laboratory must be listed as an organizational affiliation for at least one author.
  • Authorship order must reflect actual, documented contributions and be agreed upon by the Project Lead and approved by Laboratory Management.
  • Ghost authorship or inclusion of non-contributing individuals is strictly prohibited and considered unethical.

5. Intellectual Property, Data, and Outputs

  • All project outputs—including code, datasets, models, papers, reports, and ideas—are the property of either the VAISR Laboratory or the grant/contract holder.
  • External use of any output (e.g., in theses, personal ventures, or academic work) requires prior written permission from Laboratory Management.
  • All materials must be stored exclusively in the project’s official Mizito repository. Use of personal repositories (e.g., private GitHub) is not permitted.

6. Financial Resources and Contracts

  • Monetary compensation is only possible for grant-funded projects and after signing a formal agreement.
  • External researchers may be onboarded only with prior written approval from Laboratory Management.

7. Research Ethics and Professional Conduct

  • Members must uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, fairness, and accountability.
  • Any form of harassment, discrimination, idea theft, or unprofessional behavior—including in messaging platforms or virtual spaces—will result in formal warning or immediate termination of collaboration.
  • Members must keep their profiles updated (degree, skills, email, institutional affiliation) in the lab’s internal system.

8. Termination of Collaboration

  • All collaborations are non-permanent and subject to periodic review.
  • The Laboratory reserves the right to terminate collaboration at any time, with or without stated cause, while adhering to ethical principles.
  • Active members may voluntarily withdraw by providing 7 days’ written notice.
  • Upon termination:
  • All access to lab resources will be revoked;
  • Official communication channels will be closed.

9. Additional Provisions

  • Official recommendation letters will only be issued for individuals with documented, approved contributions, upon Project Lead endorsement.
  • Resumes of high-performing members may be submitted to the Virtual Growth Center for the “Elite Core” program, with prior notice and consent.
  • For international collaborations, strict compliance with sanctions regulations, GDPR, and secure data transfer protocols is mandatory.

Acknowledgment and Compliance

This document serves as a binding agreement for all VAISR research activities as of December 30, 2025.
By initiating collaboration with the laboratory, all new members implicitly accept and agree to abide by the terms of this protocol.
